Ozzy was floating a good two feet above the couch. At least, he felt like he was. He didn’t feel attached to the physical at all as he climbed higher and higher.
The den was like a second home to Ozzy, one where he paid a steep rent.
The only thing keeping Ozzy grounded in reality was one last drag, which he quickly remedied.
As his mind slipped the surly bonds of Earth, Ozzy smiled and closed his eyes, relaxing back into nothing. He never wanted to leave that state of being, even though he wasn’t sure if he existed or not in that moment. He knew no troubles, no responsibilities, no anger. He just knew the graceful high and the fleeting grace it brought him.
